What This Training Is About
Most professionals were never taught to think with their hands. Somewhere between school and the boardroom, we stopped building things and started just talking about them and something got lost in the translation.
LEGO® Serious Play® gives it back.
This two-day immersive training is your introduction to one of the most powerful facilitation methodologies in the world and your certification to facilitate it. Over two full days, you'll experience LSP as a participant, learn it as a practitioner, and leave as a Playthos Pro Certified LSP Facilitator ready to bring it into your own work.
Why LEGO® Serious Play®?
When you build something with your hands, your brain works differently. Research shows that 70% of the brain's sensory neurons connect to the hands, meaning physical construction activates thinking that sitting and talking simply can't reach. LSP leverages this to create sessions where:
Every voice is heard: no dominant personalities, no quiet corners
Complex ideas become visible: built in 3D utilizing LEGO® Bricks
Insights stick: because you made them to share them
Rooted in constructivist learning theory and co-developed with the LEGO® Group in the late 1990s, LSP has been used by Fortune 500 companies, universities, nonprofits, startups, and coaches worldwide. It works because it's built on how human beings actually learn.

Playthos Pro Certified programs are built on the belief that the best learning happens when you're fully in it — hands busy, imagination open, whole self present. This training is no exception.
LSP is a methodology developed through decades of research into how people think, learn, and communicate. It uses LEGO® bricks as a medium for building ideas. Participants construct physical models that represent their thinking, their challenges, and their vision. When you build something with your hands, you make your thinking visible. And when thinking is visible, real conversation can begin.
The results are consistent: fuller participation, deeper insight, and decisions that actually stick.

THE METHOD
Practitioner vs. Facilitator
WHICH PATH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Both tracks are delivered on-site, hands-on, and grounded in the Playthos approach to active learning.
The difference is in scope, depth, and what participants will be able to do independently when the training ends.

The Training Experience
WHAT TO EXPECT
Hands-On Learning for Hands-On Facilitation The following reflects the Facilitator track. The Practitioner track covers Day 1.
Day 1: Foundation & Discovery
We start where all good learning starts: by doing. Before participants learn to facilitate LSP, they experience it as participants, building, reflecting, and discovering firsthand why the methodology works. The first day covers the foundations of LSP, the research behind it, and the four core application techniques. By the end of Day 1, participants have moved from curious to genuinely convinced.
Day 2: Practice & Mastery
Day 2 is where confidence is built. Participants move into the facilitator seat, designing and running real LSP sequences, receiving feedback, and iterating in real time. We cover session design, reading the room, managing dynamics, and adapting in the moment. By the end of Day 2, participants leave certified, equipped, and ready.
What to bring: Curiosity, openness, and a willingness to get your hands in it. Everything else is provided.
What we bring: LEGO® bricks, facilitation materials, session templates, and a training environment designed to model the exact experience your participants will create for others.
I come from a background in fine art and product design, a world where thinking with your hands isn't a methodology, it's just how things get made. When I encountered LEGO® Serious Play® and the Design Thinking Process in 2019, it didn't introduce a new way of working, it gave me the language for what I was already deeply living.
That experience is the foundation of the Playthos philosophy and it's what makes learning with me different. You're not learning from someone who completed a course and started teaching it (though I did get officially certified in 2023). You're learning from someone who believes in play in their bones and has seen firsthand what opens up when professionals give themselves permission to do the same.
